ngl, I'm more of an indie fan, but everynow and then I won't say no to a bit of pop... but you won't really find it on my iTunes... except for a bit of Kylie ♥

however, I HAAATE processed, X-factor etc music. I just hate hate hate it. agh.

 

#7 Five pet peeves

 

1 - odd numbers.

bit weird, but I really, really can't stand odd numbers. I used to be quite OCD cause i never really used to eat anything and that kiiindaaa makes you crazy! most of it's gone now but odd numbers still get to me...

 

2 - poor spelling.

again, this is an OCD leftover. despite the fact that before year 9 when i literally sat, read and memorised a million spellings, i couldn't spell a thing... i can't stand poor spelling/grammar (took english language a year early ;L) so yeah. don't do it :)

 

3 - orange people.

nothing against umpaloompas, and I have been known to whack out the ol' gradual build up moisturiser... I hate fake tan. like, obvious, spray on, orange, nasty chavvy fake tan.

 

4 - two facedness.

again, I am very two faced at times, but I try not to be... but I really really hate people who are you're best friend one second and then act like you're dirt the next. really unnecessary.

 

5 - people who go on about how the were 'sooo stooooneeeed'.

says it all really.

necklace nails :)

helloo my loverrs.

sorry about the lack of 30 day challenge. i'm really, really lazy.

so today, i really struggled to come up with a design, i started out with another deisgn which i willpostassoon asi can find the photo (it's gone missing on my hardrive :L) but then changed my mind about it... it was Disco Pink my Maxfactor (a pretty, hot pink) with a silver gillter gradient on the diagonal... very cute but this is the last time i can really do big nails til my GCSES are over, so i thought i'd make the most of it. so, i played around with a LOT of designs, and eventually decided to do a play on this necklace...

sorry, you're gonna have to tilt your head there, :L it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland...  i laaave it :D

on nails, it came out okay!

i used regular base/top coat; Models Own 25 Carrat Gold; Barbara Daly Wicked; Revlon Ruby Ribbon; OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous; and looooadsa Andrea Fulerton crystals. so much wffort to apply, but they do look cute.

pinky- this is a kinda crystal ball on the necklace

thumb - ribbon

Right Hand

pinky - same as LH

ring - a camera, it's slightly clearer in realily, but didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but by the time I'd done it, I just really couldn't be bothered to change it :L

used usual base and top, then Topshop nails Gypsy night, Andrea Fulerton gemstone topcoat and her nail crystals too.

yeahh i'm sleeepy, so not a long post tonight. gotta really start revising for my gcses soon too so won't be posting as much. i also can't wear coloured polish to school so my blog will be VERY boring as of Tuesday :L might start a Wednesday want thing or something? idk.

8 - woke up

8-8.40 - washed face, got dressed, brushed teeth, straightened hair, did make up, left for work

8.50 - worked (i'm a waitress)

5.20 - got picked up (20 minutes late!!!)

5.30 - ran to superdrug, broguht nail polish + gems

5.40 - watched friends

6 - painted nails

6.45 - dinner

so THAT is my mani for the roayl wedding, and personally I wish wills + kate all the best (:

but more importantly, i really like this mani! i can't really decide whether or not i like the silver nails, but i'll no doubt change them on saturday :L

i used usual top + base, accessorise electric blue, andrea fullerton nail boutique crystal (kinda pricey but SO worth it!)  and an anon M&S silver that i brought in a set :)

i also thought you (whoever you are :L) might like to see my stash?

and this little beauty, is what i brought today :) it's beaautiful, i think that there's a Sally Hansen polish like this, but they're difficult to come by over here... it's Andrea Fulerton and i'm in love with it. i can tell that it'll look amazing over a dark blue and i'm gonna use it asap!

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, Atonement + Enduring Love by Ian McEwan, cause i'm so original and hipster. naat. nah, i know they're pretty hipsterish and films etc... but to be fair, I did read ALL of the books first (haven't even seen never let me go yet..) and they are all really really good :L

Bronia's naaails :)

soo this is what I did for Bronia :) it's another floral pattern for a christening, and we're having a bit of a girly night at the moment... you can't beat a bit of 16 & Pregnant!! 

I used usual top/base coats, OPI Teenage Dream and the Colour to Watch, Nails inc. Crown Courst, Barry M indigo and mint green, and No. 7 in a glittery purple, the name rubbed off a few years ago :L

but yeeaaah (: really like this mani and I miight have to do it myself soon!

okay. this is soooo messy! ah wellll, pretty happy with it. never tried a gradient before!

Any one got a flag?

I've been doing American flags for a whilst now, but today I felt like experimenting a little :) I'm giving my friend Bronia a manicure on Tuesday so I want to get as much practise for patterns as possible, should be fun! it looks so messy right now, i really need to work on not oainting my cuticles!

I used my usual base + top coat, with collection 2000 blue my mind & french white, front cover high risk red and WAH nails models own nail art pen in white :)

I also finished one of my GCSE art coursework units... on skulls :L my art is a liiiittle bit darker than you'd expect!

OOTD + prom dress

well thiiiis is my prom dress :) it's a dessy collection bridesmaids dress that i wore to my sister's wedding :L our prom is 1 july so not too far away... just got 11 GCSE exams in the way.

and my OOTD :) the top and skirt are both from topshop, the necklace is swarovski and one of the bracelets is from links, the other from India :)

think I will re-do my nails tomorrow so I'll post then.

Spring Florals

hi again!

I realise that I just posted about ten minutes ago but I had another mani to post :L this is the one that I am wearing on the 23rd to match a skirt I brought :) this took a couple of tries to settle on a design, but I'm still not entirely happy with it - the flowers are too big. I had them perfect but i added a dark green revlon to the leaves (emerald city) and it looked all wrong so i had to change it... also, just incase anyone notices... I have BDD thumbs (aka club or royal. i prefer royal!) so they look like toes and the nail is a weird shape.

i used... revlond complete car base coat, rimmel scented lemon drop, barry m blueberry ice cream + blue moon (v. good channel imitation!), collection 2000 french white + show off + blue my mind and sally hanson maximum growth and ceche vite to finish :)

seeing my boyfriend later today  and buying shooooeees which is gonna be nice, but yeaaaah :)

will probably post again tomorrow night, planning to do american flags and a palm tree on my thumbs :)

Anchors Away!

heellooo!

this is my first post, and I'm not really sure what to write... I've started a few blogs before but never really stuck to them but I'm hoping (preying!) that this one works out. I don't do nail art all that often but i'm going to try to do it more often. if not, I'll just post my polish hauls or NOTDs... will probably also do some personal stuff so yeaaahhhh, I'll try not to be too boring :)
